What hearth is required for my Saltfire ST-X8?
The Saltfire ST-X8 is designed to be used with either a 12mm hearth, or a full constructional hearth, providing great flexibility when it comes to installing.
Can I burn Coal in my Saltfilre ST-X8?
Sure - The Saltfire ST-X8 is a Multifuel stove meaning you can burn logs and coal. We recommend using a Smokeless coal.
Do I need to vent the room with the ST-X8?
Due to the stove being a nominal output greater than 5Kw, all installations will require additional ventilation. This is normally in the form of a neatly placed hole on an external wall, the size will depend on the air permiability, however minimum size would be 2,220mm2, or a circle approx 2inches in diameter. Your installer will be able to provide further clarification based on your specifics.
